Dr. Dario Salas Sommer is the founder of Institute for Hermetic Philosophy and Director of the global activities. He is a Chilean philosopher, scientist and humanist who has been committed to the progress of humanity and to the internal development of the human being for more than four decades.
He has devoted his life to the study of human consciousness, and he writes about a very practical form of personal development that he refers to as Operative Philosophy, through which one can one can harmoniously develop oneself in the areas of spirituality, love, money, happiness and wisdom, along with many other positive attributes.

Hermetic Philosophy is the living tradition of wisdom and human evolution that was practiced in the ancient Egyptian mystery schools, originally expounded by Hermes Trismegistus. The knowledge has been passed down throughout the millennia, and has been practiced by great men and women throughout history.
It is an operative philosophy based on the profound comprehension and active life in accordance with the seven Hermetic Principles, which are:
The Principle of Mentalism: “The All is mind, the Universe is mental.”
The Principle of Correspondence: “As above, so below; as below, so above.
The Principle of Vibration: “Nothing rests, everything moves; everything vibrates.”
The Principle of Polarity: “Everything is dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites; like and unlike are all the same; opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree; extremes meet; all truths are but half-truths; all paradoxes may be reconciled.”
The Principle of Rhythm: “Everything flows, out and in; everything has its tides; all things rise and fall; the pendulum swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left; rhythm compensates.”
The Principle of Cause and Effect: “Every cause has its effect; every effect has its cause; everything happens according to law; chance is but a name for law not recognized; there are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the law.”
The Principle of Gender: “Gender is in everything; everything has its masculine and feminine principle; Gender manifests on all planes.”
